Tips & Best Practices
Before You Import
- Keep one subtask per row and one header row. No merged cells.
- Use plain, clear column names such as Summary, Assignee, Priority, Due Date.
- Use email addresses for assignees. They match more reliably than names.
- Use unambiguous dates (2026-06-01 or June 1, 2026) when accuracy matters.
During the Import
- Run a small test import of a few rows first.
- If many rows are flagged, check the column mapping before editing rows one by one.
- Leave columns you do not need unmapped.
For Repeat Work
- Keep a master sheet per process and only change the rows.
- Save a mapping template and set it as the default.
- Correct wrong AI suggestions. The app remembers your corrections.
For Admins
- Roll out on one pilot project first.
- Set the row limit to match how large imports are on that project.
- Share the spreadsheet guidelines with users.
Avoiding Duplicates
- Check the import history before re-importing a sheet.
- Use the duplicate check in the preview.
