Service Management Work Plans

The Situation

A service request or change in Jira Service Management needs a standard set of fulfilment tasks, such as provisioning steps or approvals to chase.

The Approach

1. Keep a work plan sheet for each request type.
2. Import it under the request or change when it is approved.
3. Assign tasks to the right fulfilment teams.

Result

Fulfilment steps are visible on the request and are tracked by the team that owns them. The app works with Jira Service Management projects.

Tips

• Enable the app only on the JSM projects that need it. See Per-Project Settings.
• Keep one template per request type.
