Installation & Setup
Prerequisites
Before installing, confirm:
- You are a Jira Cloud site administrator (required to install Marketplace apps)
- Your Jira instance is Jira Cloud or Government Cloud - this app does not support Data Center
- You have access to the Atlassian Marketplace from your Jira instance
Installation Steps
- Go to marketplace.atlassian.com and search for "Time Tracking Resource Planning Clovity"
- On the app listing, confirm Hosting → Cloud or Atlassian Government Cloud is supported
- Click Try it free (30-day trial) or Buy now
- Select your Atlassian Cloud site when prompted
- Choose Jira as the product
- Review the permissions the app requires and click Accept to proceed
- The app installs automatically - no restart required
Verify Installation
After installation:
- Click Apps in the Jira top navigation bar
- Look for "Time Tracking, Resource Planning & Project Management"
First Admin Steps
Once installed, complete these setup tasks before rolling out to your team:

| 5. Assign access | App → Settings → Data Access → Permission Roles | Give team members a role scoped to what they should be able to do |
Jira Permissions Required for Installation
The app requests a set of Forge scopes during Marketplace install. Grouped into plain-English categories:

| Read Jira issues, projects, boards & sprints | Load issues for capacity analysis, backlog scoring, and portfolio views |
| Read, write, and delete worklogs and time tracking data | Log, edit, approve, and remove time entries |
| Read users and groups | Display assignees and resolve group-based access |
| Manage Jira configuration and project settings | Detect issue types, statuses, priorities, custom fields - and, where granted, adjust related Jira configuration used by the app's features |
| App data storage | Store report configs, templates, portfolios, and scoring data inside Forge's own storage |
The "Manage" scope is broader than a read-only check - review it during install if your org requires scope-level sign-off before approving Marketplace apps.
Uninstalling
To uninstall: Go to admin.atlassian.com → Apps → Manage Apps → click the app name → Uninstall. All app-stored configurations (reports, templates, portfolios) will be permanently deleted.
